As anyone who has ever worked on it is keenly aware, stormwater does not follow a watch or a calendar, and sampling requires responding to storm events as they happen. Suzanne Thompson and Mike Piehler were at Camp Lejeune after Christmas sampling streams throughout the base as a part of their research examining the effects of base activities on stream export of carbon, nutrients and sediment. This effort is part of the larger DCERP project.
