Ashley Smyth named Smith Fellow!

From the Society for Conservation Biology :

Society for Conservation Biology and the Cedar Tree Foundation are pleased to announce Michael Bogan, Chelsea Rochman, Ashley Smyth, and Diogo Veríssimo as the Class of 2014 David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellows.

Each Fellow’s research will be conducted in partnership with a major academic institution and “on the ground” conservation organization to help bridge the gap between theory and application:

Ashley Smyth will complete a project titled, “Using bivalves to control nutrient pollution: implications for management, aquaculture and conservation” under the academic mentorship of Drs. Iris Anderson and Bongkeun Song at Virginia Institute of Marine Science, College of William and Mary and in partnership with Karen Hudson of Virginia Sea Grant.
